The season's competition saw a very close fight between eventual winner Steve Marchant of Swindon RC and Pete Wheddon of Clevedon and District. Eventually Pete Wheddon fell just 3 points short of the win having missed several of his favoured events after breaking his collar bone in a crash during the Severn Hilly at the end of March.
