The U83 is used for the Chippenham & District Wheelers Hilly '24'.

Course description:
START on the B4069 in the lay-by just south of turning to Kington Langley village (GR ST929770). Proceed north on B4069 through Sutton Benger and Dauntsey Lock to Lyneham where left at roundabout (7.25 miles) on to A3102. Continue on to Wootton Bassett (10.75 miles) where left into Whitehall Lane. After approx. 1.5 miles turn RIGHT, continue under motorway and ascend Callow Hill. At crossroads turn left onto B4042 and proceed to Malmesbury. At Malmesbury roundabout (20.5 miles) turn left onto A429 towards Chippenham. Take next left turn into Grange Lane and continue through Startley to FINISH adjacent to Upper Seagry village hall.
